Case Studies

Detailed write-ups of automation projects, with real numbers.

Looking for the blog? We’re writing it. Case studies are where the thinking lives for now.

An ancient Greek figure working a crane whose giant claw has plucked a ship clean out of the harbour — Give us your *slipperiest* problem.

The £3,500-a-month website that now costs £29

An agency retainer of £3,000/mo plus £500/mo in server costs, for a site that mostly needed small changes. One month of migration work brought it in-house for £29/mo.

Databases

Getting a recruitment agency out of FileMaker

A whole business locked inside an encrypted FileMaker database it couldn't export from. We recovered 7,000+ records and rebuilt it as a web app, on an open database with no licensing fees.

Data & reporting

The business that stopped arguing with its own numbers

Marketing data sat in a dozen systems and no two of them agreed. One warehouse on the company's own server ended the arguments, with an AI analyst that shows its working.

Billing

The billing system that outlived its app

Fourteen years of sales history sat in an abandoned Mac invoicing app, and its billing never matched a template. We migrated the lot and built the replacement around how the business actually bills.

In-house

The website you're on, and the office behind it

Our own shopfront and back office, built the way we build for clients: nine demo tools, a pipeline that tracks the contract clocks, and AI only where it earns its keep.

Household

The house that audited its own heating

The method is the same as the business projects: data you already have, one queryable place, the question answered. Here the question was about heating. A gentle schedule uses 10–12% less gas per degree day.

The numbers are real and the systems are running. If you’re in or near Cheltenham, we’re happy to talk through any project in person.
